Im thinking of getting my C4S Foil Wrapped. Ive seen some other cars around with it on and I really like the look of it. (there is a nice one posted on the tt/Gt2 board - have a look...)
Here in Dubai it costs something like US 4-5,000 to get it done. Much more expensive than other places I've checked. so before getting it done, would appreciate any feedback on it.

Foil is the company's name,its like Vinyl but feels like paint

 

Thought you were going for the "tin foil" look .

 

So did I, was trying to imagine the shimmering, silver effect.

 

can't imagine vinyl holding up against the sun. if it is a dark color it'll probably fade eventually.

I saw several Porsche, Infiniti and other cars with it in Dubai as well. Looks really nice. I don't know how it will hold up against the sun during the summer time; especially worried about the adhesive.

Where did you get a price quote from? Foil-A-Car at the GSS Service station next to defense round about? Sounds like a lot of money to me.

 

Have not been to their office, but I know it's behind the Shangrila Hotel, next to the gas station/Car Wash.

I heave it was around AED15,000 and prices keep going up. just like everything else in dubai.

 

Very true. Prices always getting higher and higher here. I would try to ask for some discount though as the euro/usd has fallen and they are based in germany. Aim for 20%-30% off.
