New mods to my 997

I just added the K&N cold air intake and the Softronic ecu flash and the car sounds and feels incredible.I had the PSE with sport chrono and the two new mods compliment them perfectly.Dan at vividracing was great he sold them to me at a great price and he and his staff were always available whenever I need help .Also Steve and softronic helped a great deal as well .I highly recommended these mods.I honestly think unless you put on a supercharger these are the best mods to improve you cars performance for the price and Vivid is the place to get them.I attached some pictures and a video of the cars exhaust let me know what you think.

How bout the softronic flash? What are your thoughts on just this mod? Is it a big difference from stock?

I don't know about a big differnce from what I read it's only around 20 HP but you feel the power though out the gears and more torque up front so it feels faster. It's diffently worth it .I am going to run the 1/4 soon to see if I can run it faster and I am thinking of putting it on the dyno to see if the gains are real.

I always hear the K&N causes the check engine light to come on. Any issues? Also isn't it going to affect your warranty?

I think it is a myth created by more expensive intake companies and dealers. What happened to me probably happened to the others I had the MAF in backward as soon as I turned it around the CEL went off.

Larry - Thank you for the love with the post and sticker! For those that want some stickers, just PM me your info and I will send them out. They are a guaranteed 2Million ponies.

The Softronic on the 997 Carrera really improves the overall driveability. Its not about peak HP with these cars, but improvement to the power curve. You will notice throttle response, low end torque, and top RPM pull much better!

+1 on Dan. I found him on this site and he has helped me a lot with my projects.

Nice clean install LarryP. I just did mine this weekend, sounds great and pulls a little harder. How's that Softronic working for you?
