My c2s PDK

Hi all, I received my PDK 997 c2s yesterday and have done around 280 kms so far. Impressions, lets start with the transmission, gear changes are dam fast. However, I get this really strange sound as if the flywheel is vibrating at around 20 to 60 kms under light throttle with the rpm at around 1400. Went to the dealer and had one of the sales person drive the car. Said the noise is very similar to a gt3 rs on idle, said he would drive the demo pdk for a comparison and ask the engineers if this is normal. Car feels pretty torquey. My friend has a 2007 carrera s and said it feels much faster. He has an automatic. Only took the car up to 4000 rpm. On this one traffic light it had suddenly turned yellow and I stupidly decided to hit the throttle. Gear changed down to second and was at around 6000 rpm. It was really impressive. This car moves. The new steering wheel is very thick and comfy. Interior wise, the only thing that has major changes is the steering wheel and the touch screen. Well think thats about it. Waiting for the car to reach the 1000 mark so I can try the launch control. Ok thats it guyz

Benjamin Choi is infamous around these parts
I'm curious also about the sound with both cars equipped with PSE. Mag reports say the newer engines don't sound as aggressive at partial throttle.

Actually to be honest I am very dissapointed with the exhaust note. It is wayy to quiet. Too civil, too refined. I have never posted pics on 6 speed but will try get some photos up some time soon

I'm sure the market will be flooded w/ exhaust systems from all the 'usual suspects' real soon. I hear Porsche will release the 'Sport Exhaust' later this year or early 2009.

Enjoy your new 997.2!

The exhaust on the 997.2 S sounded much throatier and louder than my 997.1 S (non pse). Good luck with the new ride.

Congrats! Post pics!!! Easiest way is to upload pics to www.flickr.com. Then view the image in flickr, right-click the image and select "copy". Inside your post, right-click and select "paste".

I drove a PDK S cab the other day and I agree it is too darn quiet, can't feel / here the RPM's- I want to say "Lexus" in that respect ;p

Exhaust and intake upgrade should set things right-

Hey did you get the ventilated "*** vaccuum" seats Those are a hoot!
