I like what Porsche 3 did with his dynapack results. He had multiple runs with different set ups and his results even show that there were gains at TQ as well as HP. This simply suggests that there is gain and no loss at whp. Isn't this research showing the impact of the IPD? Mr. Northvan997, why are you so against this mod? The whole US agrees with the results? It could be due to the fact that the person who installed it for you, did not adjust the components tight??

 

Read the whole thread, I was eager to add this piece to my car until I saw the results from AWE. I am not against this mod, I just don't think it will give you the advertised results.

Thanks Art4iza, I did my best to provide good clean data. But please, let's not throw rocks here either- NorthVan's one of our better members on the six, I don't see him being against it other than deciding not to buy it. His choice based on his own research findings, fair enough.

I feel that individual results may vary based on a number of factors. I bought it, tested it, worked out fine for me and a lot of other folks. Some folks have tried it, tested it and it didn't work out for them. Then again there are some folks who constantly offer "opinion" based on what someone else said or did, or are purely speculating. And you know what that is worth... LOL

 

I am glad that some people have found success with the Plenum, I am not trying to hurt RSS and Greg's business, I am just giving Jay the information that he is asking for, I have seen enough information posted on this topic that I have made a choice on not installing a RSS Plenum in my car, and I really like doing mods, almost as much as MickFluff

 

I agree with what's been said above. Read over ALL the reviews. There were a handful of people who experienced some issues and I can't say what the problem was without having the car in front of me. And yes some of those reviews came from a "competitor".

I wouldn't buy much into the commentary Greg- It seems (IMHO) that your product speaks for itself overall. As with ANY established product, there will always be a handful of discontent folks and nay-sayers. Kudos to you for offering such an iron-clad money-back guarantee.


BTW I have a question on your bored out 997 TB, do you think it would provide any added performance benefit on my NA car? (Mods: AH mufflers, RSS, KN intake, no sport chrono).

 

I paid my ££££s for the plenum (and you can't believe how expensive they are in the UK - almost twice the US price) so I really wanted it to work. Everything I'd read prior to making the purchase suggested it would give good results and I was really looking forward to the noticeable increase in performance of my car. Unfortunately it was slower not faster. I was genuinely disappointed, I can tell you!

So no vendetta or agenda - Like NorthVan, I'm just sharing my personal experience with the product and giving my honest opinion (that also happens to be in-line with AWE's test results)
