TT Wing
Hi... I just joined the forum and am looking into adding a TT wing onto my 2007 Carrera C2.. Believe it or not I was able to get a used 2007 wing for $450 on ebay.. just received it and it looks good.. just got to get it painted. I had adapted a turbo wing onto a previous Carrera S Cab I had a few years ago and back then I removed the hydraulics completely and used it fixed cause I didnt want to mess with the airbox. For this one I am looking to wire it in,,, How did you get the wiring done? I see your wiring splice picture.. is the plug on the top or bottom of the pic.. after plugging its good?
Thanks
Thanks

The problem is the air box, if you don't have the aftermarket air box install, the hydraulics will get in the way & hit the orig air box.
I get the fabspeed air take system, or maybe u can try get a oem turbo air box or 997.2 air box --> but I haven't try it! no sure it will fit 😱
Now I looking to wire the upper third brake light to the existing brake light. So that when brake, I can get a double brake light on the tt wing, and upper section. But I still don't know how to take off the upper section & get the wire, please share if you have the DIY, TQ !
The oem tt wing make the car look a lots sporty & it is the best (I think), before that I did install the techart type 3 spoiler to it.
It's look nice, but just like lack something with it, until I have the tt wing install 😘
Happy with it, everywhere go, people thought it is a 911 turbo 😄😊😁

The spoiler looks good on the car. I agree that it does enhance the stance and makes it more aggressive. The wheels are nice too - the red lining especially. But the hood - it might be just my opinion, but instead of the hood, if the roof + pillars of the car were wrapped, that contrast would look better than what it is now. As for the Turbo lettering in the back, unless you're a Porsche-nut (on-road, most ppl aren't), you wouldn't know the difference

ahhhhhhh funny to see this thread back to life! Been a while so let me try and recall the install $... the steps are in the post for the most part, you will need to acquire 997 rear deck lid w/wing blade and hydraulics etc (oem at dealer 13K+...., that is not a joke) recomend find a turbo owner that swapped out their wing possibly and purchase...figure (1800-3800 range) paint assuming not the same color in the 500+ range... Evo air box cost (400$ range if memory serves me correct) then install with wiring and fab a few parts in the 600+ range...
Lets see some pics on your 997TT front end! Here are a few of mine....
hope the data helps....thanks for the good words on my base 05 997...

The fan is to cool down engine bay temp, why would you put it on the intake opening which is smaller than center, thus wont cool as fast. Plus if fan is off, your left intake wont get much air...

Understood. I think you've my listing on the marketplace. I'm selling it for my friend. And I'm considering buying it from him.
I know the OEM air box needs to be replaced but what do think about just cutting a small hole on the OEM box to clear the hydraulics? Crazy idea?

This. And some tool in a Vette will tell all of his buddies "I just smoked a Porsche Turbo".
Good Luck.
