Pse ?
They typically range from $800 to $1200, depending on how many are available on the market at any given time. The key is finding one with all the wiring, tubing, and solenoid etc. Many people remove the mufflers but not the rest of the system.
Ken is exactly right. You may find a set of mufflers only for less and that might be just fine if you don't plan to use the 'loudness' switching capabilities.
You will need the vacuum lines and solenoid vacuum valve however even if you plan to keep them in the loud mode all the time. I suspect you could run your own vacuum lines to a tee connected to the power steering pump vacuum line.
I bought my PSE (used) about year ago complete w/ all the accessory parts for $1100 (shipped).
If you need a parts list to make sure all is included let me know and I'd be happy to send one to you.
Good Luck!

Thanks very much all.
How much is the full (including electronics) install. I really like the sound of the PSE (even better than tubi) and I love the fact you can turn it on and off...can't belive I didn't order it...how much was it as a factory option?
Thanks
Strtswpr996...do you also have the electronics?

Agree. This is how I wired mine, and it is so simple and convenient, plus I don't have to be in "sport" mode to implement it. It also makes the wiring much simpler for a do-it-yourself type like me. You only need to use the power lead and ground lead in the wiring loom, and don't need to go near the DME. I installed my little switch in the ash tray in center console, so it is really handy. The system defaults to loud when there is no power, and goes to quiet with power to the solenoid.
Installing PSE
Keninirvine, I am about to install a PSE kit on my 2006, and was planning on putting a switch in the ashtray also and using the cigarette lighter as a source of power. How did you run the wire from the engine compartment gromet to the console. I have a Have the TSB instructions (from renntech) for installing the PSE and it seem fairly straight forward, but I do not which interior pieces I need to pull and how to pull them. I was hoping I could snake the wire under the carpet (without pulling the carpet) to the console

I called Suncoast Porsche earlier this year, as they sell the complete system. They could not sell just the ancillary equipment without the mufflers. I expect it could be a problem getting all the right pieces from a dealer.
Thanks again for the excellent info...I really like the idea of the simple wiring by and passing the dme...also love the switch in the ashtray idea.
