Launch control with PDK

When using launch control, is the traction suppose to be turned off? I ask because whenever I use launch control it catapults really well at the begining but sometimes the car starts to slip and when that happens the car just looses its power tremendously. The first 3 launches I ever did with the car had a strong pull all the way. However with my last 3 launches the cars acceleration is being interupted, and this happens when the car skips. Thoughts?

that's very strange. Did you have PSM off when you experienced that? with launch control, you are not supposed to change any setting (i.e PSM on) since everything is preconfigured.
its not advisable to use launch control consecutively. the system needs time to rest before you give it another go.. don't know..like 10min?? anyone?

Launch control can only work if you have traction, if you lose traction TC will try and correct with ABS but it cant compensate for reduced traction. loose gravel etc, or even a slick road surface. And yes there is a predetermined time between launches but the car will not allow it to be done to soon, i dont have the spec in front of me but for some reason 1.5 is stuck in my head so maybe its 1.5 miles? Not sure right now.
