Another coilover & sway bar question
Another coilover & sway bar question
I'm planning to upgrade to Bilstein Damptronics in the near future and looks like I need to upgrade my sway bar to further improve handling. From what I've read, GT3 sway bars are hollow and both front and rear are adjustable, but front sway needs a new drop link. H&R's are solid, weighs about 10 lbs more and only rear is adjustable (3 settings) while front is not adjustable even tough some have said front H&R's can be adjusted with 2 settings.
Mostly street driving with plans to do about 8 to 10 tracks days a year so I hoping I can just set the sway bar to a setting and don't have to change it when I track.
Do I need to get both front and rear sway bars? If I only get rear sway bars, will I still be able to feel improvments in handling? I'm leaning toward just adding rear H&R sway bar so what setting is best for my driving?

Buy the H&R kit, comes with both f&r and is very in expensive. I have my rear set to the 2nd setting and the car handles amazingly well. I did 13 days this past year and also street it as a DD.
I went with the GT3 bars front and rear, not based on price - I just liked that they are lighter and hollow. Car is a daily driver, not tracked. But I just wanted the car stiffer for those 35mph right hand corners on the street - no people or cars in the way though! The car feels great!
I went with GMG adjustables front & rear from Vivid Racing, a board sponsor. Rears are tight with the fronts in the middle position. This helped eliminate some of the front end "push" inherent to the C4S. Very happy with the setup. Either way, you will be impressed with the results.
So consensus seems like I should get both front and rear. I thought most of the handling improvments came from installing the rear sway bar?Am I correct that one needs to get a drop link with GT3 sway bars? How did you guys decide one over the other?
The GT3 bars do need more extra's, the H&R's are direct fits. Not sure about the others.
At $600 for the set, I would put both in and you will have a very well balanced car. Put a F or R only and you end up changing the handling dynamics way too much.

You MUST do front and rear together, first of all. Secondly, check with Fabryce (GMG). I have his sways on my car. 5 way adjustable. Light. And they work wonderfully. Very high end, but it seems like they didn't cost a nut. I haven't had experience with the rest, but it seems to me that a rear sway bar only will make the car rotate really weird-like.
