We received this note from Apple Development Group today regarding echo or low voice issues with BTA1500:
We believe this issue has been addressed in OS X iPhone 2.2. (Please note that you must first upgrade to iTunes 8.0.1 before you can upgrade iPhone.)
You can update to the latest version by syncing your iPhone with iTunes, and you will be prompted to upgrade if you haven't done so already.
