OT - Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe
Thanks everyone for your input!
I think that I'll go ahead and get a 997.2 C2S Coupe for now.
In a couple/few years [if I have enough headroom and can get a good price], I'll buy a slightly used '09 Gallardo.
The newer 5.2 liter engine version, seems to be a big improvement over the older model.

I talked about this car tonight. If I ever were to buy one I would want a new one especially knowing the history of "issues" with these cars. I would garage and pamper it and get to know other Lambo owners so that they would see how the car is cared for too . When I would sell it at least both myself and the next buyer would be aware of the cars details .
I would miss the Porsche though.
The Lambo is very pretty but just not my style.
I like the way Porsche conducts service and the availability of parts and ease for tehnicians to find info to repair cars .
My local dealership also sells Ferrari and they would love to sell me a car but even though I know the sales staff they know my taste , style, and what I feel is acceptable when it comes to getting things fixed on time .
Years ago (early 90's) I did walk into a Lambo dealership to actually look at a used 993 Turbo but while there I looked at their cars too . They had a large sign requesting that customers make an appointment . What customers ? I was the only one there .
I don't want to feel like stepping into an exotic is some upscale ego stroke . I want to feel that theres a down to earth presence with both the car and the experience from day one in sales right down to every repair . I did not feel this way .

Perhaps you should go to the Lambo section of this board, only the early 04's had problems, and by now almost all have been upgraded. If you want to learn more about these cars there are other lambo boards as well, it is better to learn from those who own and live with these cars.
