Nice Shots, hopefully you just passed the S2K and you left him behind you.

As for posting images in the tread, you need a photobucket account then you post the link like this

I did right there, but he passed me on the oval.

He had a huge spoiler and R coumpond tires.

I had no downforce an street tires, which was not a good combination on the high speed oval past 120mph.

Inside line

The only thing I don't like about Speed ventures is the mix of cars on the same track.

For instance there was a red focus that i would get caught behind and would not let me pass .... for instance look at these pics.... i had to out brake him to get inside and he still tried to not let me pass.

Some people just don't understand that its not a RACE, its a timed lap event.

We had some words after this incident.

Speed Ventures allows passing in the corners? Holy $hit! I haven't been to a track day that allows anything more then a point to pass, but those are not timed.

In certain groups they do allow passing in turns.

I always point, but some people are just rude or dumb.... better yet both!

Mobonic:

Consider running with PCA & POC. Cost is the same or less, great instruction, passing rules in all groups except RED. Both groups will be at WSIR the end of Jan. POC has their Driver's Clinic and STS event #1 on Jan 24 & 25 at the Streets of Willow. PCA has a Time Trial there Jan 30 - Feb 1, 2009. PCA will be on the Streets of Willow Fri & Sat & on the big track Sunday Feb 1.

996toomey, thanks for the input.

I ran 2 events with PCA last year but they dont have too many events nearby.

I joined POC for 2009 and plan on running the STS series this year @ SOW.

I also plan on running the PCA event at Big Willow at the end of the month.

I'm stocking up on tires and just got a oil change, brake fluid, and brake line change to start if of right.

The reason I run SV is because I have 2 friends that i like to go with the don't have P-Cars (R32 & EVO X) and PCA does not allow them.

So we all run together at SV.

I hope POC has a better policy.

MOST OF US ARE ALL AMATEURS (NOT RACING FOR MONEY) ... SO ITS ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN WITH FRIENDS AND ENJOYING OURSELVES!

The red "Hot Wheels" car was "cute", but should not have been allowed onto the track, until the driver graduates from high school.

Mobonic, if you and your friends are interested, LV PCA will have a track day at Sping Mountain Motorspeedway Feb 7-8 and allow any type of cars to run as long as they pass the tech inspection. It's a 3.1 mile set up with lots of fun turns. I'm stil in the novice group and continue to learn from great instructors.

Sounds good.

I was supposd to do a time trail there last year but had work.

I need to get a trailer as Im racking up the miles driving to all these track events..... perhaps someone in San Diego, OC, Or LA that has extra space on their trailer.

I've got gas money!
