Tips are GMG's tips
Wheels are 20" HRE 590r's

My buddy had some fabspeed tips that looked really good too.... maybe ATL can post up some more up close tips so you can make a choice between the 2

From what i've seen they pretty much are, except the GMG has "GMG" engraved on the top.

Everyone else looks like they just copied the Fabspeed tips.

Nug...I can tell you to be careful buying tips. I tried to save money and bought the Schnell Vertex tips taht look like Fabspeed tips and the quality was horrible and they did not fit. I had to argue and argue and have AMEX dispute the charge after I sent the tips back the Schnell Vertex in Miami and they would not refund my money.

The stainless steel stock tips can be ceramic coated no problem. There is a guy down in Miami that does the too for around $55.

05 to 08 are the same, not sure if they changed the size for 09, but the 05 to 08 are:
non-'S': 1-63/64" OD (JUST under 2 inches, or 50mm),
'S': 2-5/16" OD.
This is measured where the tips attach. So if you are trying to attach 'S' tips to non-S mufflers you would need to stretch the stainless steel by over 1/4 inch in diameter. Places like NAPA sell adaptors. Fabspeed sells their tips in a non-S size (looks the same from the rear but fits the pipe properly).
Hope that helps.

+1... why bother stretching when you can just buy an adapter?

simple, cheap, and far less likely to go wrong

Thanks
Contact Bill Bentow at Fuzion Coatings in Florida. Good guy! Good pricing, too. He ceramic-coated my headers and does tips... and more, if you want. Have seen pics of his tips and they're nice!

thanks!!

i can get the stainless stretched for free... it takes 30seconds. its less stuff to rattle around and possibly corrode.

thanks again!

of note...i found that the 997 mufflers appear to be much lighter than my 1999 996 mufflers.... i will weigh them before and after modding to see how much weight difference.... but i would say atleast 10lbs each
