Battery Maintanier

Ok so I just bouhgt the Porsche Battery Maintanier. Since getting my 05 C2S ive had battery problems and w my 03 I had not one. My other battery died on my 05 about a month ago got a new interstate battery everything was good. And ive been driving the car more often to keep the battery charged. So last night I went out to use the car after using it the day before and AGIAN DEAD . Im like WTF is going on. So i just bought the battery tender. But whats w these cars, I have a radar detector built in the car could that be drawing too much in the frigid cold we are having? I shut the radar detector off, dont know if that a issue.Should I have the car looked at for electrical issues? Thanks guys

It could be the radar detector, or the Tooki. It could also be the cold, or even a weak alternator. The battery tender is a good start, if it continues I would take it to the dealer and see what they say.

All the talk about Porsche's and batteries is a little over the top. Sure if you don't drive the every so often it can be an issue but your issue may not be a function of lack of driving unless the car is sitting weeks at a time without being driven or a function of the "dreaded Prosche Battery Syndrome" so popular on these sites. You have either a battery with a bad cell, not uncommon regardless of the age of the battery, a charging circuit issue or a drain of some kind when the car is parked. I 'd start with the battery and have Auto Zone of somebody like that check it. They will run the test for free. If that's not it, and the issue began after you had the radar installed you might want to check the battery, with car off, for a current drain. Dealer could do that and check your Alternator and charging cicuit at the same time. If you're lucky it will just be a bad plate/cell in the battery and you'll get new one. Hope you find the problem.
