First Mod
Clear side markers ought to be insisted upon at the dealership. Most will point toward driving school and suspension but I am going to select"other" .
I begin with the engine first and work my way out. I would revamp the engine setup (intake, exhaust, software) all in one shot . I would negotiate the price factoring in multiple parts and thus more wiggle room and incentive .
Then the second istall is wheels and suspension and (if desired) aerokit.
Third -interior upgrades .
I would devise a timeline to get the project completed ASAP based on budget and time . The gaol is to have the car finished ASAP so that EVERY mile driven is a preferred via mods.
The objective is to get optimal use out of the car and full usage out of the mods,

Curious to know, does the silver hood crest come from Porsche? Do they actually sell a car with it, or is that strictly aftermarket?
at the time I got mine (2005) there were several places that offered them and I got a factory one but I don't think any production cars came with them...since then Porsche threatened to sue aftermarket producers and a lot of people stopped producing them...I believe that Eric at Bumper Plugs still carries them but I don't know if they are factory or not...
I did clear sidemarkers as well, but I bought the car used with an exhaust and intake already installed.

Yep, you're doomed, if you're posting a poll about it, it's already too late. No turning back now. Having said that, the first mod I would do is the B&M short shift kit only $199 and makes driving so much more fun.
What's the trade off on the SSK? I assume there must be something??
I have the OEM sport shifter and love it . It came with my current car which I bought off the dealership lot but on my previous car I had it installed . It makes the throws shorter, tighter , quicker . Nice mod.
No catch really, you just have to decide if you want the OEM (more money) or the B&M one which many members here can vouch for (including myself).
Just be careful when you do the install. You don't want to rush it and don't break/crack your console when removing it. Other than that I think you'd be hard pressed to find a $199 mod that will bring you as much joy as it did for me.

Wow really? I've never heard of that before. In fact I believe that the 986, 987, 996, 997 all use the same B&M short shift kit. There are no modifications necessary. The only difference is in the procedure/instructions you go through in order to remove the console and shifter boot surround.
