Normal Sounds Or Not?
Finally got to drive my 06 C2 3.6 6spd. that I got recently and I have a couple questions regarding what's normal and what's not.
1. When I accelerate in first, second and third gears.. as soon as the engine reaches a little over 3k rpm's I hear a brief change in engine tone which almost sounds like some sort of valve opening. As I climb up the rpm range the noise quickly disappears. Can anyone explain what this might be?
2. When the car is cold I can feel the gears meshing slightly shifting from first to second gear. No grinding just a slight feel of the gears engaging. No problem when downshifting or when the car reaches full operating temperature. Can anybody explain this?
