Well, I heard it and opted for Borla.
List to the Borla sound clip and see which one you like best.

lots and lots of muffler reviews on these forums...check out the search feature. AWE is one of the more quiet mufflers for a 997

I wouldn't spend the money on mufflers alone. The biggest gains, and most noticeable gains will be from the Hi Flow Cats. Change them and the you will get better sound and more power.

I prefer Fabspeed but it's just my opinion. It depends on what you are looking for, loud, medium, raspy, etc...

AWE is for sure on the softer exhaust note side and is very civil... What you could do is go with their muffler and add headers down the road and still not be overly loud etc... I have some AWE specials going on right now so if you are interested send me a PM and I can put some nice pricing together for you.

Brian
