what tire pressure are you guys running "on and off the track?"

and those should be hot temps...if you are driving the car on track at speed you will increase tire pressures 8-10 pds...these tires do not like pressures above 38 front and 40 rear and you won't like the resulting loss of grip either

That's what I run..33/39..actually I believe the manual states higher, like 44psi for the rear. I found 44 rear way to high for the street. 5 more lbs. psi is like adding a 50lb/in stiffer rear spring. I found the ride on the street a little to extreme even in normal mode at this psi. Getting old..

If your starting cold in the early morning what would you set them at for track driving.?

I start out with them dropped (8 pounds cold track temps and 10 pounds hot track temps) under my desired "hot" pressures, which for me are 36-37f, 38-39r...take it a little easy first couple laps to build some heat and then it's time to go

Question for all of you....
Does anyone ever look in the owners manual to see what the recomended tire pressures are?
Hint...they are NOT 37 front/ 44 rear under normal loads...ie 2 people on board!

As quoted above, it should be 33/39 PSI for 997S with 19". It's the same both on the door jam and manuel!

Looking at my track notes back when I ran stock Michelin Pilot Sport 2's and was in the novice class I was heating up the tires about 6-8psi during a session. After I became solo my pressures would raise 10-12psi depending on weather/track conditions.
With PS2's you want to keep the front and rear around 38 psi...no more than 40 in the rear or you will loose grip. I always liked around 37 front and 38 rear. These are HOT pressures. I started out at around 29-31 cold depending on the weather and how hard I was driving at the time.
When I moved to R-Comps with the Toyou RA1's and then the Toyo R888's I always liked the grip when these tires where at 36 front 37 rear.
