its your car, you spent the $$ on it... if you want to do burnouts you can do them all day long if you want to. Dont let others discourage you with whatever you want to do. A burnout is achieved by bringing the RPM's up past 5k and droping the clutch (letting the clutch pedal out really fast) and then just hold on!! Its fun and then they get boring really fast! plus cops love the burnouts! its an easy ticket!

your car is designed REALLY WELL to NOT burnout, so you have to go out of your way to make it (unless you bump up the HP A LOT!)!! RS4's are not designed as well and dont have 40+ years of history behind them!! They just put a bunch of HP in an AWD A4 and called it a day!

There are several things that are causing it...

1. No LSD

2. Bushings in the rear are to soft and they allow movement

3. The car has an IRS unlike a Mustang with a SRA 8.8" that can do burnouts all day long..although the new GT500 had wheel hop.

Do a search on wheel hop..I started a thread on this about 6 weeks ago.

Dave

That is because a Porsche is designed for traction not to do burnouts.

Umm my car has 56 years of history so what? And wheel hop is a design flaw, there is an engineering solution for it. Most big power RWD cars are known for it but usually the engineers find a way around it. I would imagine that the compact packaging in the rear of the 911 makes it harder to find a solution.

46 years of 911 history, and the solution to your problem is install an LSD.

I would imagine the OP isn't looking to modify his car so he can nail a good burnout

I would imagine that if the burnout attempts continue, that he will need a new clutch, and then the LSD is an easy replacement.

I still won't try a burn out with me car, as I don't understand the point of doing one.
