Gemballa 997 phototype
Could be worse
Is this really from Gemballa?
This is more like those LA "Bad Boys" things.
In any case, at least they're making a radical departure from the factory design lines. I've never understood the idea of any "cladding" or stick-on kit that invariably looks like 'stuff' stuck on the outside.
If Gemballa has the conviction to change the doors and fenders, bravo. I might never even contemplate writing the check (give me a lighter car with better aerodynamics any day!) but I respect the aesthetic and creative potential.
Personally, I want unobtrusive, aerodynamics (underbody, mostly) to generate downforce all the way to 200mph. I'd like to take a naturally aspirated 997 to 200mph with appropriate work on power, lift and drag. I think that's a challenge that represents a significant achievement.
Cheers,

Yes that is Gemballa's prototype designs.....
I think they will be pretty cool when they are done...I have always been a fan of Gemballa (as you can see by my car), and while I don't really like the 750 as its "too much" I think the others look good. I esp. like the top of the front bumper where the hood meets the bumper...cool design.

Its all good... A little kid (probably about 10) was standing near my car when I came out from lunch today and actually knew it was Gemballa. He was like: "Isn't this a Gambella (thats how he said it) Turbo??" I was very impressed!!!

10 years old... that's awesome
Just think, although a scary thought now... how knowledgeable kids of ours will be

Actually, Kelly and I have our first on the way in April (due 8 days after my bday)... any healthy child will be a blessing, but man oh man if it's a boy... he'll be karting before he can speak
No matter how a body kit looks today , good or bad, it's still a body kit and will look dated in a year or two.
