video of my setup when it is all done. I bought the Borlas used, they were only on the car for 4 days..he said it was way to loud (just the way I like it). See my setup in my sig...swapping out the AWE's for the Borlas.

if you can, do a before/after (awe/borla) from inside the car as that would be the most important perspective.

Wankel is infamous around these parts
I would love to hear a comparison between the AWE and Borla also...inside and out. I have narrowed down to these two and the Fabspeed. What will you do with your AWE?

Dave, what was wrong with AWE's. I was thinking about getting the AWE's.

I was told by the distributor, AWE's were only about 10% louder during normal driving and 25% louder under full throttle.

Looking forward to hearing that.

What are you going to do with the AWE setup?

The AWE's have a nice bark at lower rpm's, but as rpm's climb I found them to tame even with the headers and cats...I like them loud. I love the MBP's but I got stopped for excessive noise with the MBP's and 200cpi cats.

As far as what I am going to do with the AWE setup..sell them. One of the mufflers had to be repaired as there was a crack in the outer shell. I will let them go for cheap if someone wants them..also I have a set of MBP's I want to let go cheap.

The AWE's are "voiced" as Todd says, to use with their sport cats. The sport cats make the exhaust much louder. So if you run the AWE's with stock cats, the sound will be just slightly louder than stock cans.

The Borla's on the other hand are designed to work with stock cats very much like the Tubi's. So if you are just adding mufflers then you may want a borla or tubi.

X51 headers or aftermarket equal length headers change the tone and character of the exhaust but not the overal loudness. When i added the X51 headers, the sound was much better than with the stock headers. I run the FVD sound version mufflers BTW.

Dave -

Just the muflers, correct? And the repair was completed? I am interested and would like to hear what you consider "cheap". Please pm me with details. I'm in South Orange County.

Thanks.
