What is largest setup you can run on the narrow body 997?

I have seen front wheels up to 9-10 and rears from 12-13? I want huge wide wheels and thin low pros. Let's see some pics. These are the wheels I am getting.... HRE 897R

 

Whomever you are buying those HRE's from should be able to tell you easily what the greatest offset you can accomodate would be. They're beautiful wheels, and typically quite light. Well made. Pricey though.

You should PM Justatoy, he is local and has 20" DPE's on his car. He might be able to give you some advice.

 

if you dont want it to stick out, 12" wide is the max for the rear. 8.5" for the front is good since any larger doesnt increase the car in looks or performance.

hre does 8.5/11 as a standard fitment for the NB 997 but will do the 12's if thats your desire.

I think you can go 12" rears with the correct offset. It's all about the offset.
I have 20x11 TA's and am putting on 7mm spacers this week to bring them out a bit wider. Don't skimp on the rubber- PS2 or Conti's for a decent ride.
