Just had my Lobster Forks Refinished....
...in a colour the local wheel shop calls 'Smoked Chrome'. It's actually a lacquered powder-coat (not a chrome, obviously) but I think it looks the part on a silver car and certainly gives some new life to a wheel design that is possibly just a little too familiar now.

The shop charged me UK£60 per wheel. For this, they took off the tire, bead-blasted the wheel back to the alloy, did the new finish (powder coat, bake & lacquer) masked and painted the center cap, re-installed the tire and re-balanced the wheel. Compared to new wheels it was a really cheap option!

This is very similar to how the finish on mine looks up close - mine are possibly a shade or 2 lighter but not that much different

that color goes well with silver, black and silver cars. good job
i was talked out of the beadblaster for my gt3 wheels cause they said it could eat into the AL and i didnt want to take the risk.
