Looking for spacers

I am thinking to put spacers on my new 997S (delivery Jan. 05) to fill the arches (too big even for 19'' rims).
Is there anyone who have experienced puting spacers on 996?
What you get and what you lose?
Thanx

Spacers can be dangerous

I quite agree with your desire for the wheels to fill the arches - it's just pathetic how Porsche have failed to give the cars the proper look.

Spacers however, are not the best solution as they can break unders strain of the cornering. Given the amount of weight the 997 (1400kgs+) I would go for another option.

The perfect option is a set of wheels with the perfect offset without being stupidly wide. This brings me onto a bugbear of mine - why do they always put fun-destroyingly-wide tyres on modern cars?

Get some 18 x 7" wheels with 205 width tyres and offsets to fill the arches and enjoy the chassis at safe speeds!
