New 997 C4S
My 2004 Mercedes E55 was starting to get a little high in mileage and I decided it was time to replace it. I love the torque in my old hot rod, but wanted something that could really handle well and had the feel of a real sports car. A few weeks ago, my search was over when I test drove a 997 C4S. To be sure this was the car for me; I spent the weekend at various dealerships trying out some of the competition. No other car I took a test drive in (Aston Martin Vantage, Maserati GranTurismo, M6, E63) could stand up to the feeling of these great cars. The purchase was made that Monday.
Now that I have had the car for a couple of weeks, I can't believe I ever thought the E55 was a performance car! The C4S handles like nothing I've ever driven before and I just can't figure out how Porsche gets so much out of a little 6 cylinder.
Now that I'm such a fan to these cars, my search for information about them can't be quenched. So I'm new to the forum and learning tons by reading through the post. Rather then lurking about, I thought I should introduce myself and share a few pics of my new toy. Thanks for all the great info and here is the eye candy...

The interior really looks great in person. I really like how the black offsets the tan as well as the red belts and dials.
Sounds like I'm not alone as a new owner. It’s very cool to see so many are getting into these incredible cars. Congrats!

Congrats on your new ride. This is a great input from a fellow E55 owner. I also have a lease 2006 E55 which will be return in June, and my C4S( red too
) is arriving at the dealer next week. I can't wait.
