First Mods

I have had my 07 C2S (Black on Black) from new and are now thinking of making my first mods... I am starting with some body work mods first.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the following:
- thinking about putting the full GT3 Aerokit on it but also was wondering what white "Carrera S" decals would look on the side. I love the look of the black decals on the yellow C2S cars but was looking for some opinions/thoughts

thanks in advance and be gentle with me

Hi Yorkie,
I am not a huge fan of the Carrera decals on current models- although they certainly look great on vintage Porsche's.

As for a body kit, why not do the GT3 front bumper and spoiler instead. The difference between that and the aerokit is that the front bumper has the top vent, which makes it look, in my opinion, more interesting.

It's interesting: some people go for aesthetics first, while others go for performance first. I've done only performance mods, and may one day get along to the looks bits.

I agree with Cattman on the script, doesn't fit the Carrera, it does look good on the GT3RS.

I am not a fan of the body kits, they usually add weight and don't add any functionality unless really high speeds are involved. I also don't want to try and make my car look like something it isn't.

Ed: I agree with your comments. In your case, your car not only doesn't look like something it isn't (are there too many negatives there?), it doesn't look like what it is! Thanks for letting me drive it on the weekend. It is amazing what a difference it makes trimming some weight, putting in a good suspension, and adding a LWFW and LSD. Your car feels extremely responsive and fast, and handles wonderfully. If anyone had an excuse to add wings etc. to make it look fast, you do, because it IS fast.

Thanks for the compliment Ken, like Stacy, I have enjoyed building this car to it's current state, and I will enjoy it even more on Friday when I am ripping around on the track with it.

I still call it a C2S, even though it has a few cheater parts on it.

As for driving, any time you want to confirm the feel of the car, your welcome to take it out.

I think you may first want to decide what your goal is and why, then decide on "what's my thing".

It sounds as if your interests are in appearance items; if so, and recognizing that black is more difficult to work with, imo "discrete" is the hallmark. 'My thing' with your car would be a simpler wing like the new VorSteiner, lower the car, and perhaps some different wheels.

Whatever, make it YOUR car, not just a copy of all the great looking cars on this forum.

Great advice! It is entirely up to the individual. That is what makes all the cars interesting to look at.
