C4S vs C2S
C4S vs C2S
What makes a C4S different than a C2S other than the fact that its AWD and has a wider body ? Trying to decide on which way to go. Thanks.

The AWD adds more weight as well as a different feeling of connection to the road when power goes to the front as well as rear wheels . The C2 is lighter and more tossable yet in the rain or snow the C4S thrives .
Some feel that the C4S has a burdened sense of steering while others find it appealing . I like BOTH the C2S and C4S . If I lived in a snow filled region or a heavy rain region using the car as a dd I would pick the C4S .
Overall --the C4S is priced above the C2S and below a Turbo which adds another challenge to get the normally aspirated AWD car when one can have the dry sump Gt1 and another 100 Hp with a 997 Turbo .
So Bosco -If you live in upstate NY like Monticello or Syracuse pick the C4S but if you are in NYC . Brooklyn . Queens , or Staten Island --the C2S .

I have a deal where I can lease a new loaded C4S for only 100 more than a C2S...wondering whether it is worth the difference.
(Isnt a Turbo also AWD?)

The clutch feels similar to a Turbo in the C4S as well. It's a little longer/spungier than in the C2S. The AWD makes the car feel larger/heavier in the corners. I knew I wouldn't use the AWD, as I don't intend to drive in the rain/snow, so why pay for it, why haul the extra weight, and why give up the nimble feeling of the 2wd. However, I do like the wide body looks.

+ 1...all day with the C4S living in New Enlgand...but also I love the wide rear much better. I think it compliments the car more. I dont believe the newer versions are as noticeable with the extra weight.
Plus, Supposedly in 09's pulling the ebrake up in gear one click and then dropping it back down after it chimes-shuts the front differential off and makes it into a 2 wheel drive model...minus the weight savings.
I have tried and believe it works.
Hope that helps.

Tough decision especially because in my case the diff in lease price is not much
I am in the metro NY area...some snow but wouldnt drive in it anyway (use the Jeep)...but widebody is hot !!

After I went from a C2S cab to a T4S, I initially missed the "tossable" feel of the RWD car. But after almost a year, I don't miss it and love the AWD's planted feel.
GL with your decision.
the widebody is so minimal in my opinion that it shouldnt even factor into your decision. Go test drive both and I will bet that you will end up with a C2S. However, if you did live in a place where you could make use of the AWD then its another story. Test drive will tell you all you need to know
Drive them both to be sure you know which one you like the most. Don't go by what we say, as we all have our own needs and preferences.

It Literally does feel more planted!
