You can resurface any type of metal rotor. Some places will not want to cause they just don't have the skills to do it.

 

what is a good non-drilled cost effective rotor ?

 

I had the same dilemma on my 993, they told me that the brakes would squeak if I did not replace the rotors too. I only had the pads done by an Indy and the squeaking bothered me so much that I eventually was glad to replace the rotors.

Let us know if you have a similar experience. Personally, I think replacing the rotors with every pad change is a scam, it makes me wonder if you can intentionally make the brakes squeak.

 

Car has about 30K on it....so, if they are not resurfaced, they will make noise?
