Brake pad alternatives

So it is about time to replace my brakes and am wondering if anyone has used anything other than the OEM pads with favorable results? I don't think rotors will need to be replaced but that's what an Indy shop says...

Past experience with P-car pad compounds personal and customer cars: Hawk ceramic, Centric, WBR & BOSCH all good choices. I prefer the Hawk ceramic due the very low dust nature.

I'm putting on a set of the Posi-Quiet Semi-Metallic on a set of Brakenetic Premium Slotted Drilled rotors. I'll be putting them on in a couple of weeks when my 22" XO Milan Black Concave wheels come in. I'll let you know what I think after I put them on. I shopped around for a few weeks before going forward with this set.

Will the Hawk pads "bite" as well as the OEM or would ceramics need more heat in them to have same stopping power?

I was going to go with Hawk ceramic but I couldn't find any for the Panamera. Do they making them for our car?

It sounds like Hawk is one of the better choices for aftermarket pads, and possibly better than the OEM altogether? I will defiantly call and check with Hawk to see if they make them to fit our Panos...
