Put new tires on yesterday....

WOW! What a difference in traction. I rode the the original PS2's to 17k miles and there was still some tread left, but the car wasn't sticking the way it used to. I went with the Bridgestones this time and so far I really like them. For those of you getting ready to replace tires for the first time like me, you won't be disappointed on the ride home from the shop.

How is the road noise compared to the PS2's?

It's definitely quieter now, but that's to be expected with new tires in general, I think. My PS2's were so noisey these past 6 months that I could barely take cell phone calls in my car if I didn't have my earpiece in.

I have yet buy any car which comes from the factory with a better tire than the Ps2 . I love mine . I imagine that after 17K miles any tire on a Porsche would be toast . Why did you make the switch?

I've read great things about both tires, so I figured I'd try them. No good reason.

paigow is infamous around these parts
I'm about to change my tires after this weekend's track days and leaning towards Bridgestone.

Vegas, where did you buy the tires and which shop in Vegas did you do the work?

The PS2 is a wonderful tire, but the Bridgestone is as well. I have been selling more of the Bridgestone as time goes on, and it's mostly because people just can't see the price difference for the way they drive. If you push your car to the limit the PS2 is your animal. But for everyday driving and overall ride comfort the BS is a great tire, too.

I have all of this in stock if interested.

Paigow - With things like this I believe it's all about trusting the installer. I've been working with a guy named Cameron since I moved to Vegas 9 years ago. He's probably put 5-6 different sets of tires on my cars through the years and he's always done a great job. He's currently working at the Big-O that's at Centennial and the 215/95. He ordered the tires for me and they came in 2 days later. There's another guy there named Doug that worked with him on it, and he was also really careful and thorough. I live in Summerlin, but it was worth the drive for the peace of mind. PM me for more details if you're interested.
