Crash Test - Passed!
There was an accident on one of LA's mountain roads Monday night where a Porsche 911 cab (appeared to be a 996TT), with 3 adults in it, went through a guard rail, became airborne, and landed right-side-up 400-500 feet down a canyon. The car subsequently became engulfed in flames and burned up. All occupants survived. See video on link below.

What about "I'm going to die or at least get seriously injured. Damn, my car (or in this case probably my dad's) is going to get totaled. What if I tried to jump out onto that tree? It looks soft..."

When I was 17 (and stupid) I had a 92 Dodge Stealth R/T that I took on a back road to a then-girfriend's house. Mix a residential windy road with a bunch of s turns with changing elevation (from uphill to the left to down hill to the right) + excessive speed (I believe I was going 70ish) + dumb 17 year old driver who had no business behind a car with 222 hp and you get an out of control car careening toward a canyon and a driver who had no idea what the heck to do (and slammed on the brakes for good measure).
The only words that came out of my mouth were "OH GOD" and then WHAM I slammed into a tree (which saved my life). Ears rang for a day from the airbag's impact into my face... walked away with a bloodied up face and bruises on the chest not to mention ego... I replay every moment of that incident from 17 years ago on a twice weekly basis.
Glad everyone was ok in this case and hopefully the driver learns a very valuable -- if not painful -- lesson....
Probably something along the lines: "beautiful daffodils and wild gerber daisies we have growing here this time of year" would be my guess.
