I dont know if this is true, but my parts guy told me that the 997 shortshift kit is the same part as the factory 996 ssk.

Just pm me if you plan on installing it yourself. It'll take about 2-3 hours unless ofcourse if you set the wrong tension like I did and have to take apart everything all over again and add another hour to the mix.

Bought my 997TT with the SSK after test driving a TT previously with the standard shifter. The long throw just didn't feel "sporty" and precise. One of the best options I bought, along with the ceramic brakes. Throw is significantly shorter and always within comfortable reach.

I drove a Cayman with regular shift. My C2S08 has the ssk and I love it.

The stock shifter feels 'rubbery', adding the SSK will make you love your car all over again. It's some thing you take for granted until you drive a non SSK fitted car.

LOL! very much appreciated!!! I usually install my own stuff, but on my turbo, I dont mind paying te premium for a Porsche specialty shop to do the labor. If I change my mind and do it myself, I will definitely take you up on your offer! Thank you. ++1 rep.
