I have the same intake intake. If you're ok to spend $600 just to hear a nice "whoooosh" then Suncoast is the place to call. Otherwise there are no changes in power. Best mod for half that price is the short shifter.
PM me if you have any questions about the intake.

I use to have one on mine. It really only makes your car sound better. If you change your exhaust, you really won't be able to hear that intake sound as much anyway. Evo intakes come up in the for sale section from time to time.

thanks for all the great replies. im actually really suprised there are no gains from the intake.... i already have the headers and sport cats and exhaust on my car, and i made 317 rwhp on a mustang dyno jet. i was planing on pairing the intake with a giac tune. do you guys think i should just do the giac only?
thanks in advance

I had GIAC flash on my first 997, I found it didn't help at all as well. The only improvment I found came from my high flow cats. If I were to flash my car, I would do Softtronic, but the call is yours. BTW, 317 RWHP, multiplied by 15% (drive train loss) is 365HP, up 10 from stock. Sounds about right for the mods you have.

PM sent...
For the record, although the gains seen by the EVOMS intake may not be monumental, there are real gains of about 10hp. Sometimes incremental gains aren't quite enough to be noticed by the butt dyno, but as you can see below the real dyno notices.

The dyno plot above shows comparisons using GIAC software, as it was done a couple years ago when the 997 V-Flow intake was released. EVOMS currently uses their own proprietary software called EVOMSit.
The intake, coupled with the EVOMSit software and the mods you currently have will work very nicely.

Spent a lot of time researching the available power mods - not just reading forum opinions. Luckily came across a tuner who had been a Porsche tech for 8 years before openning his shop plus has driven competitively in Rolex Grand Am, 24 hours Daytona, Sebring, etc. I ended up with your stuff (from Fabspeed even though he liked AWE better) and evoms and GIAC. I could not be happier! I suspect that the Evoms alone would not have added any HP, but it's been "documented" that as part of the full package it does.
Softronics may be marginally better, but I've been told it matters WHO is doing the flash; after watching my guy do it I'd say the same for GIAC since he took it out for test drives twice and "retweaked" twice before he got the readings he wanted - didn't just do it and say "fine". (This was also a reason I had ruled out the "mail in the ECU" programs, even though they may be fine.)
