997.2 pse

Any one knows if the PSE can be retrofitted? I would love to add one to my car if I can have a PSE switch and control it. Otherwise, I would probably just get the Sharkwerks center muffler bypass pipes.

Thanks.

Huh....just realized this thread is way old... Absolutely it can be retrofitted. SunCoast sells the kit for about $2600 and then you need to install it. Mufflers are the easy part. Running the wiring harness is a bit time consuming I am led to believe. I just bought a set of PSE mufflers w/ 5K miles on them. Perfect condition. The switch and harness are about $300 and then I will needs a few other small parts. I have not called Porsche yet to see how much they want for the install. I may go with an independent guy for the install. Not sure yet. I will tell you I really like the PSE tips and can't wait to see them on the car.

i've heard ~1500+ for install. Keep in mind even if you do the install yourself the ecu needs to be coded by dealer to enable the button and/or the interaction with the sport button. At least, that's what I've understood via SunCoast asking for VIN at time of order.

Good to know. I knew they had to do something with the ECU because they did ask for my VIN re the switch.

porshanut is infamous around these parts
Had mine installed by the dealer. Used Suncoast as a base line and got it done for a decent price with a little negotiation. Liked that option as you get dealer warranty and on/off button just like factory install.
