Can the silver trim on steering wheel be taken off?

There are three pieces of silver trims on the Sport Steering Wheel...can those be taken off?

As you see the lower piece has got a scratch on it, if I can take it off, I can do re-paint.

Anyone tried before?

Here is an example of a Techart carbon alcantra steering wheel with aftermarket carbon trim replacing the silver .

Are those aftermarket replacement trims? Or they come with the Techart wheel?

...but if I can take them off and do the re-paint, I will probably stay with the stock silver color to have a little contrast with my black ext./int.

how can I take them off?

That is a gorgeous interior. I've never seen one with the black on the speaker panels etc. on the doors. Love it. And the steering wheel looks great with it too.

I spoke with the owner today . He's done all the tuning on my car and we are friends . I mentioned the steering wheel silver trim and he told me that it's McCarbon . I think they are site sponsors. It matched up nicely with the techart carbon and even with his sport bucket seats which have carbon seat backs . One would think the different carbon trim would off set each other but it really does blend nicely on his car .
