pch and cyn driving

Thurs i went with some friends for a drive through old topanga cyn road. it was like driving in a tunnel of trees as my friend puts it.

from topanga cyn we ended up in PCH going through malibu then back through decker cyn 23. i am amazed at the p cars.

my 4cs only has the common options sport chrono, pse, pasm. there was no body roll and the suspensions were so tight, like a gocart. going through the 23 was like a roller coaster ride. lots of banked turns, elevation changes. there were like 2 hairpin turns that i remember. wow our cars are simply amazing... i cant wait to go through the cyns again.

just thought id share and here is some pics we took

Very nice. Topanga is a nice drive. So is Malibu Canyon, etc. Great place to own such a car.

I have to agree. Old topanga is a great drive. It is part of daily drive to work. It's a fantastic way to start the day.

Take Decker Canyon Road one day if you like some tight turns.

Topanga & Malibu are a bit mild in comparison.

You want some tight turns? Try Las Tunas. Makes Decker Canyon feel like the 405.

Grimes is fun but really short.

Go up the 150 to Ojai and take the 33. That is some the finest canyon driving there is and not too much traffic or CHP up there.

Good point...took that with the family in the honda pilot a few weeks back...somehow it wasn't quite the same.

Need to do it in the P-car...

We should start a group drive thread in the So Cal section to one of these canyons.

I think a 'caravan' of more than 2 or 3 cars through Decker Canyon would alarm the residents and subsequent calls to the Malibu Sheriff's Office. It's a pretty populated road unlike Hwy 33.
