I noticed that when I shut the my 997.2 Carrera, the fan will start above the spoiler. It shuts off after a few minutes, then will start up again in a few minutes. I never noticed this on my 997.1 Carrera. I have been told by service that this is normal and that the new generation runs hotter than the older generation 997.

Does anyone else experience this?

 

It is normal - happens on the 997.1 cars as well. Mine does it when I shut down after a decent run or on a warm day.
