Northern VA Area Tuner?
So the MOD bug has kicked in after over a year of ownership... I've collected a few parts over the last few months and am looking for a reputable and capable shop to install them and work with me over the long term.
I've got a set of Bilstein coil overs, wheel spacers, X-51 headers and AWE CATS for the first round of MODS.
Any suggestions on a shop in the Northen Virginia area to do the install, alignment and corner balancing?

Call Stan Fox there on 703-550-8240.
They installed the Borla headers and exhaust on my car and they did it perfectly.

I used to use them until they screwed up my PSS9 install. I had to pay twice for the same work. Glad to here that you had a good experiance though.
Not sure how close they are to you but try Synergy Racing...ask for Kerrigan and tell him Stacy sent you!
Great shop and Kerrigan is nothing less than AMAZING!

I've heard good things about Ivan at IMA Motorsports (Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly VA). Funktion Motorsport is also in the Dulles area off Rt. 606. Bunch of places listed in dV rag (local PCA monthly).

Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion folks! Just what I was looking for. A friend also suggested Curry Automotive - anyone have any experience with them?
Stacy - wish I was closer to Synergy but that's a good 2.5 hour drive from my AO. Based on a quick look at their web site they sure look to be on the HARD CORE end of the spectrum... If I ever gravitate to that end it would be certainly worth the drive for that level of expertise.

FIRST OFF - see some NEW faces/names in the Mid-Atlantic (DC/MD/VA) area on this thread, guys, check out the Mid-Atlantic section on the bottom of 6speed....We've got a GTG at Rockville Starbuck's this sunday, May 17th at 10am, would be great to meet everyone.....now back on topic.
I've got several recommendations for you. I've had just about every Indie shop (including HBL - which is horrible by the way) work on my two Porsche's. Here's my recommendations:
1.) If you are willing to drive out to Staunton/Charlottesville area and have one of the best Porsche Mechanics on the east coast (who is even trained on repairing Carrera GT's), I suggest you call Foreign Affairs (www.foreignaffairs.us) and ask for Mike Allebaugh, he's the owner. Their prices are almost HALF northern VA prices with equivalent if not better service. Jonathan Newhall is the Porsche guy and he just did my clutch and is doing some other mods to my C4S.
2.) IMA Motorsport (703-849-9590 located in Chantilly w/ an amazing facility), ask for Ivan Arzola (he owns the place and still races/repairs Cup Cars)
3.) Intersport Performance (703-242-3972). Specifically ask for Omar Hilmi (he's the owner). If you can't get him, ask for Dogan or Kiko). They are located in Tysons by HBL.
Whichever one you go with, make sure you tell them Berk sent you. It doesn't hurt to call and get a quote from each one.

But, for my C2S I've been using Stan Fox at RPM Racing.

MODS Complete - Very Happy
Picked the car up with MODS complete and I'm happy with the $ spent. Thanks for the suggestion to use IMA in Chantilly, VA - top notch group of guys there. Below are the details:
Bilstein B16 Damptronics & Lowered car by 28mm. Completely transforms the car's handling. I'm in no way a very experienced driver when it comes to high performance driving, but the C2S OEM suspension's tendency to "bob" when cornered hard and understeer were unmistakable even to me. Coil-Overs (combined with a good alignment) are a great way to get rid of those characteristics plus the lowered car just looks better.
Alignment: I didn't go overly aggressive. -1 degree of camber up front and -1.75 degrees in the rear. Slight toe in (.5mm front and 2.5mm rear). Also corner balanced. Seems like a good setting to me for now.
X-51 Headers and AWE 200 cell CATS: At idle the sound is about the same. Above 4k RPM -- sounds great. At 6k RPM it is awesome. It still sounds a bit too muffled though - I'd like a sharper sound without getting much louder... Suggestions?
Wheel Spacers: 7mm in the front and 15mm in the rear. Used H&R which the tech disliked up front since they are not "hub-centric". The shop recommended RUF at least in the front. Might look for a replacement...
All in all money well spent.
