just sold my 997s cab...want a hardtop...so confused...love having some luxury but the idea of the Corvette Z06 3100lbs and 7.0 V8 505hp must be so exciting...yet i hear it has no feedback appx 50-55k...trying to find one to test drive...test drove m3 a lil bit ago felt very tall and heavy think appx 3700lbs..but its nice, awesome engine and can pick one up for 50-55k...or 07 997s and need the wide sport seats(adaptive maybe)...

i had custom shocks, intake and tune on my C6Z. put 480 rwhp down and was a beast. you could spin the tires while moving by just rolling onto the throttle. if speed is your thing, there is no finer car for the money.

if you just want a finer car, the 07 c2s hands down

I just did Bara --my error made in haste . I am not sure how to understand his logic though . He had a new 09 and sold it for a loss to step into a cheaper car which is still expensive ? It makes no sense.

The most troubling twist in the OP's logic is that they are asking a Porsche forum for non-Porsche recommendations.

If you liked the M3 but found it too bulky, consider a Z4 M Coupe at $30k and drop $20k worth of suspension and supercharger into it. That'll yield >500hp in a relatively-rare car that's 500lbs lighter than the M3 and offers superior handling and power. The 2006 cars are coming off leases this year, so you should be able to pick from a wide selection of inventory...

needs warranty...z4m is G@Y! so no thanks...prob fun thou, not into that styling....looking for feedback from people who have driven these cars...u dont get a real feel for a car on test drive thru city streets... i wana steal each of them and drive em thru the canyons
