need ideas! Sold 09 c2s cab..what now? 07 997s, m3, z06???
needs warranty...z4m is G@Y! so no thanks...prob fun thou, not into that styling....looking for feedback from people who have driven these cars...u dont get a real feel for a car on test drive thru city streets... i wana steal each of them and drive em thru the canyons
If you want to save money there are many cheaper cars which are adequate .
It's hard to justify the step down .
why hard to justify step down.....i had 09 997s cab..dont want cab anymore.. so i get 07 997s hardtop (or something else) and put away 30 grand. Either way went and test drove M3 today, again...with dct...quick...but my 09 felt a good amount faster...maybe just that you feel the porsche more and it being a cab...but the m3 just feels so tall and big...im afraid if i get it ill get bored...althhough it stuck to the road..had pretty good response..steering was a tad light i thought...i have no car and am confused!
Also made a post but please look at link and tell me what u think about price, ask 60 k 07 997s 10k miles

I've got some experience with a few of the cars in question.
For me, the novelty and rawness of the Z06 wore off rather quickly. It is a fun car, no doubt. If you are used to German engineering, you will not find it in the Z06.
I am personally on the hunt (assuming I can sell/trade my M5 for what I need) for a C2S. I have located a number of them for pretty good prices..just waiting to see what the respective dealers will give me for the M5.
I think the C2S is what you are looking for.

I can tell you are very confused and that's not helping you in making a good decision. I don't know why you sold your car . If it's to "save money" you already lost and to buy another car is a new transdaction adding more loss .
The common sense step down is an M3 . Maybe even a low mile M3 but you might even find a new one in the 50's .
It makes no sense that you sold a Porsche today and want to buy an older Porsche tomorrow .

i like the power and actual research put into the z06 BUT the interior makes u want to cry... if yuor blind and have no fingers... then the z06 would be perfect but since ur on this forum and we dont have braille setup im guessing your not.. and im guessing you'll hate the feel of the z06 interior wise.
The M3 forum (which will remain nameless) I go to have people who don't like the Carrera... go figure. I am guessing they do not know how to drive it. You might also be associated w/ a spoiled brat or "entitled" crowd. The only advantages I see are
1) Coupe, not cabrio
2) Extra room
3) Somewhat cheaper to purchase.
Recent Z06s and Corvettes in general have upgraded interiors... probably not as good as German cars but better than before. But nobody really buys a Z06 to cruise in (at least I hope they don't).
Just test drive them all this weekend.... there's probably a sale going on anyway

the new nissan 370z has been getting quite a bit of good press. light and zippy. you could get into it new for a fraction and order exactly what you want.
