Speed Lingerie nose bras now available for '09 (997.2)

I just found out that Speed Lingerie is now making nose bras and side mirror covers for the 997.2. They cost more than other brands but they are far better products, extremely well tailored using high-quality fasteners.

They just sent me photos of their new 997.2 mold which I am posting below. These products are available in all Porsche colors and are excellent color matches. The photos are obviously not color matched (except the side mirrors), to show several color shades.

I have used clear bras in the past and I decided no more. They typically cost 2x what the Speed Lingerie costs, age rapidly and when hit (and they get hit) just look terrible and need to be replaced. For me Speed Lingerie it is.

Note: I am not affiliated with the company. Just a satisfied customer.

Werd....plus no matter how much wax/protectant you apply underneath, there is still dust and dirt accumulation that rubs on the finish....and are a PIA to take off and wash the car.
No disrespect but I thought these things died with the Camaro Z28.

And do you think that a plastic-wrapped car, a.k.a. clear-bra is better?

Sports cars always used bras on the open road. If you know what you are doing they are easy to put on and remove, and contrary to what some say they cause no damage - at least the quality ones.

I know many sports cars owners rarely drive their cars an when they do they stay close to home. For those of us who actually drive these cars and think nothing of a 1,000 mile trip, a nose bra makes sense.

I see this as an available option. I like them... you don't. Choice is good.

look wise i prefer clear bra but protection wise, i would think, the nose mask would clearly give more protection. But does it really not scratch the paint underneath? Also, when it gets wet, won't it damage the paint under if left baked under sun?

Have you ever considered a Clear Wrap Bra?

They are a great buy and offer the same kind of protection!

I had that in my 996 C4 and I did not like it. At the end of the day it's a plastic-wrapped car, very much like plastic wrapped furniture.

A good bra is what it is, and in the case of the SL it is very well made and a true protection for driving on the open road.
