Dakrisht,
Sam in Princeton offered me the deal I mentioned above on the 1000 mile used green c2s launch car. He is offering the same deal to everyne else, infact someone from rennlist contacted him. I am just letting folks know who might be looking for a killer deal and dont care about sport seats or color, nav etc

I saw the green car and I am interested in a 2010 probably with paddles, but for me the following options are a must: sport seats( preferably adaptives for power settings and memory,) Sport Chrono with PDK, ipod, heated seats and grey/black exterior

I have a black 4 door car now so Grey would be the best choice

When I picked up my 07C4S from Sam at Princeton on Jan 2nd 2009, that green 2009 launch car was in the store then. So they had it for a good long time.

I don't think the green looks bad, but I would prefer a blue if I couldn't have black.

Just called. Deals are now $1,000 to 1,500/ months.

No other info other than that deal was exceptional and with $6,000 out of pocket I am told.

Sam is no longer there apparently. Talk to Dan instead.

There were loads of those Green Cars (across 9 states) when I was looking in late May - one dearler had 3 on the lot. They were all heavily marked down - maybe that was enough to move them by now...

Trendy Launch colors look better on the Cayman S

I thought about how many of the launch cars simply didn't sell well. The base coupe had PDK but no chrono . Porsche introduces PDK and doesn't offer the full experience in the base car ? Plus the green car does have nice options but off beat color in a traditonal car primarily used for the street did not snag buyer interest .

I think off beat colors look better on a Cayman . In fact add up all the Dfi, PDK, trendy color. light body , track performance structure, lower price -- and the new cayman S can be extremely appealing .

there are a number of those green launch ones up in canada as well - just the wrong shade of green so the sand doesn't slavage imo - but very personal.

you would have to knock the crap out one imo to buy

they also had a lot of those launch c4s cabs - ruby red - sand and black top - i test drove the crap out of one - fun car

I had seen a similar deal when I started looking. A local dealer had a 3 yr lease for $1000 with no money down.

Sport Chrono with PDK is useless. The sport setting is not very smooth. The Sport + is totally worthless not to mention the timer on the dash..... Clock would have been better....The best way is to drive it manually or use the auto for traffic.... imho...

Do you have a car like this? Do you know that SC also works in Manual mode?

I find all six combinations useful and enjoyable. Although the car also is nice enough without SC - I reckon that it is why it is an option.

This is simply not true . Of course on run of the mill city driving there's little need for performance oriented up and dowshifting but sport chrono plus with the PDK on a hard driven pace will plant the gear shifts more rapidly or efficiently than without .

Yralis said it right. Sport Chrono helps plant the gears rapidly and firmly. It makes the gear change experience more sportier also
