Don't forget ground clearance, especially with PASM Sports suspension. If the snow gets deep, you will be able to plow with your front spoiler!

This car will never EVER touch snow. When I say "winter driving" I mean a week after any heavy snow fall, after all roads are plowed and salt has dissipated. This car will never be driven mid or immediately after any snow. That would just be suicide, AWD or not.

There are mant different styles of seats and weight savings are very important one can even remove the rear seats . It really depends on the purpose of the car . I wanted a super car that could be driven daily . Even though both I and my girrlfriend easily fit in the Carbon Sport Bucket seats I hesitate mostly because I know passengers who may not . I want to have some flexibility and comfort .

Funny to talk about the weight of the leather. The front drive unit on the C4 weighs a lot! If you want the leather, get the leather!

Adding the AWD puts about 100lbs extra onto the car. The carbon sport seats and PCCB's more then make up the difference.

Anyone know the price of contrast stitching for the door, seat, and dash? I couldn't find anything about it online.

I was thinking about getting Carrara White with the PCCB's with a yellow seatbelt, instrument dials, contrast yellow stitching, black and grey two tone full leather interior. I'm also getting the carbon fiber package (shifter, hand brake, and accents) to match the carbon fiber seat back. Opinions?

Deviating stitching for the seats is $1100
Door is $310 and Dash is $310
Ask you dealer for the 2009 order guide in PDF, my sales rep gave me a copy to help me configure my car

Are you SERIOUS? $1100 for the seats? I don't understand how people put up with things like that. To change all the main instrument dials to yellow is $860 and to change the chrono dial, just the chrono alone, is $500. First of all, why would anyone in their right mind get the instruments in one color and the chrono in another? Secondly, how is painting one little dial yellow 58% the work of painting about 6 of them? It just doesn't make sense.

Don't shoot the messenger

Came right from the official order guide. Some things are just not worth it.

Do you have one you could shoot over to me? Also, does the dash stitching include around the PCM as well or is that a yet another fee?

Rear Window Wiper - 425
Park Assist System - 635
Self Dimming Mirrors - 267
Dynamic Cornering Lights - 603
7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) - 250
Sport Chrono Package Plus - 640
PASM Sports Suspension - 030
19" Carrera S II wheel - 419
Heated Steering Wheel - 345
Stone Grey Sport Seats - DD
Adaptive Sports Seats with Driver Memory - P01
Heated Seats - 342
Seat Belts in Speed Yellow - XSY
6-Disc CD/DVD Changer - 693
Universal Audio Interface - 870
Bluetooth Interface for Mobile Phone - 619
Navigation Module for PCM - 672

The ones that I am not sure about, and would appreciate some input on are:

Electronic Logbook - 641
BOSE High End Sound Package - 680
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) - 450
Sports Exhaust System - 176
PCM Voice Control - 671
.
Mine is optioned with the PCCB's and I love them. No dust, no noise, and the most progressive feel I have ever experienced. About 8 lbs savings per corner, plus my forged AMT's result in amazing feedback and lack of ride harshness even in Sport Plus. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Bose- probably wasted money in this car. Mine sounds like a tin can.

I LOVE my full, natural leather in red. Again, worth every penny. If there is any weight penalty it can't be much.

Dynamic cornering lights are a must.

Sport Chrono is a must.

Sport PASM is awesome.

The PDK is flawless and a pure joy. Totally flexible. Launch Control while "useless" is intense fun and who doesn't need an extra shot of adrenaline every so often? And it doesn't break the transmission! (harmless dig at the GT-R folks)

Remember, remove (easy) the rear seat backs to save big, useless, lbs as soon as you take delivery.

To find the really interesting options on a landed car, especialy this late in the season, is going to be a challenge. Buying out of state is easy, you really need to reconsider. Adds to the fun!

I totally love my C4S PDK and would not change a thing. Fantastic car for anybody that appreciate precision engineering.
