Badminton ROCKS, but it's soooo 80's...I'm hoping to get to the same professional level you're at in Synchronized Swimming, but the darn condom won't stay on my head and they keep sending me back to the amateur level!

Dog, I think that it's a matter of the relative "power to weight ratio". Nothing personal, but your car is a fat pig! All that extra stereo equipment and the soft top, etc. Sorry, just my thoughts. Light = fast (at least in a straight line). I too am glad to see you spending more time on the track. Ask Mike to be your instructor sometime, he's damn fast on the track! BTW, you have a PM.

It's not that fat! I had it weighed. Only comes in 200 pounds heavier than the new GT3. BTW, I took my subs out... The wouldn't fit with my roll bar. Bummer. I like to drive to a soundtrack

Glad to hear it, but you would be surprised at the difference 200 lbs makes! Best soundtrack is a screaming GT3 engine somewhere above 4000 rpms. As I was typing this, my lovely wifey adds "tell him that you sing the theme to Top Gun in your head" ROTFLMAO. . . so without further ado http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8rZWw9HE7o "Talk to me Goose".

Gotta run to work, somebody has to support my track habit!

I guess my thread should have been, "Why is my car so slow?"

The Greek and I went to the dyno today.

He had some very strong numbers... His best was 338 to the wheels. Very impressive.

My run did not go so well, but at least I know why I couldn't pull him. Something is seriously wrong with my car.

The dyno I posted in this thread was from the same dyno we were at today. Since that dyno, I added the plenum which picked up 10rwhp based on runs we did before and after the install (different dyno though). So ballpark, I should have been around 430ish to the wheels.

We did one run and got around 365. They were concerned about the AF's so I skipped the runs in the interest of safety. So I'm down around 65ish rwhp.

I'm not sure what the next step is. Obviously something is way wrong. I did get my wideband AF unit datalogging again tonight. The AF #'s I recorded this evening appear to be much better than what they saw on the dyno today.

Here's the before dyno:

And today's dyno:

Here's the datalog from the OBD port I did during the dyno. I wish I had my zeitronix unit datalogging this morning as well as it would have been nice to overlay with the dyno chart. Oh well...

Come on??? Where the tech nerds who know this stuff? Somebody help!

I got my wideband AF unit datalogging last night. I was having cabling and com port issues. It's working now though... I did two 2nd gear runs and one 2-3 gear run. The AF was solid 12's during all of them. Now I'm really confused. I can't post the zeitronix info as I can only figure out how to display their data in their own software. It's free, but it still would be nice to be able to export to a CSV file and post it up.

Do you have numbers on what the intake temp's are? and have you gone for bigger injectors or are they stock? I wouldnt rely on the 02 sensors/voltage to give you an accurate result on your air/fuel ratio. the table you posted doesnt have enough info to solve the problem and everything in it looks right to me.

I do not think I was running the intake temp on the scan during the dyno runs. I've checked it before though. It never seems unusually high and the intercooler pump is running when I turn the key on. I am using larger injectors that EVO supplied.

Here is some data from a 3rd gear run I did on the street last night. My rpm pickup was not working properly, so just look at the TPS and boost readings with the corresponding AF and EGT's. This thing samples at a crazy rate so I had to piece this together in a few different images. You'll get the idea when you see it. The excel file is huge as I did three different runs.

Here's partial data from a second gear run last night. This was sampling probably 4-7k rpm's.

Timing is definately being pulled. It should not drop below 16 above 6000 rpm. I would increase MAF signal to richen the mixture to see if timing stops being pulled. Make sure there is nothing looses on the engine that would cause the knock sensors to pick it up.

Do you have any recordings from the knock sensor? knock and high temps are usually what causes timing to be pulled. If you use the obd port to record air/fuel it would calculate it through the 02 sensor voltage which usually is not accurate especially at high rpms.

Did you move from narrow band sensors to wide band?
