Popular C4S Mods?

Sorry for the basic nature of this question, but I tried to search, and just got a little overwhelmed. I'm curious as to what some popular mods on a new C4S are and how much I can expect them to run? I hear a lot about body kit (the GT3 one in particular), as well as some spoilers, diffusers, and things of those nature. What about performance oriented ones (that won't void a warranty)? I know coming from the turbo charged Audi world that things like a DV and turbo could be replaced, brake kits, etc. However, on a NA engine with the PCCB's, what is there to do? I rather start out small for now and add little by little. Thanks.

When is comes to performance mods, nothing is going to add power like a Forced induction system can.

What you can do is get to that power sooner and keep it on the road. I have Bilstein Damptronic CO's and H&R Sway bars for cornering. I also have a LWFW and a LSD to get that power to the ground quicker. These mods are not cheap like a diverter valve, and expect to pay $3-4000 for either set of mods.

If you want to learn how to use your 997C4S better, start with Driver training and you will learn a lot about you and your car. They are much different the Audi's...I think that is a good thing (and I owned a few before I bought my C2S)

When it comes to mods my first choice goes to Sharky's setup . This car is screaming good. On the widebody I would choose a different rear wing but everything else the same right down to those P43's brushed .

What are some smaller ones I can do to add around 15-20HP at a time? Any air intakes, new valves / tubes, etc? Flash the ECU worth it?

Hehe thanks man... glad you like it and we've had a good response so far (close to 30) considering there aren't many cars. The dealerships are stepping up now too which is nice because it means they obviously have some confidence

Other than that we've also done the tuning to our car which you can follow in this thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...2009-997s.html

Both of these will give you a nice little bump in power (around 20-25hp). There's no plenum kit for the new motor however as it uses a single-piece intake manifold now.

I wouldn't believe any of the claims that air intake will provide any gains, if they do you won't notice. They do sound great though.

Flashing of the ECU is a huge debate on gains as well, but if you are interested Softronic (www.softronic.us) seems to be the most popular on this forum, but APR, GIAC, EVOMSit, and others are available as well.

So aside from an ECU flash, I'm looking at a major overhaul to gain some extra horses out of this engine?

How much difference does 15-20HP at the wheels really make anyways?

Well it's there and it's real for sure. You can certainly feel it not to mention the improved throttle response. However to get more than that.... you'd need some sort of forced induction really and at that point well it's worth starting with a turbo On those parts we do offer a money-back thing if you're not happy. Never had to use it but hey...
