Is this factory aero kit?
It is hard to say from the picture. The best way to tell for sure is on the inside and by looking at the part number given. The lines on the center radiator intake look a little exagerated but I can not tell if that is just the light and the paint job.
It could 'factory' since you can buy that item directly from Porsche. I believe if it was 'factory installed' the rear wing would be mandatory since Porsche claims the aerodynamics become unstable at high speed if just he front end is installed.
BTW: A good deal of Aftermarket parts are so good (quality, appearance, etc) that unless you see the stamping of the part number it's hard to tell. Even then some aftermarket parts might stamp a valid Porsche part number on it.

It actually does have the rear spoiler. It's a CPO car I've been looking at and I just wanted to make sure the front bumper is part of the factory aero kit, not something installed afterwards.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Is it on the option list?
looks factory and if its on the option list i would pretty much bet it is
edit: upon second look, the edge under the marker lights look a bit wider than stock from what i recall

If it is Porsche OEM, it's the "Aerokit Front Bumper Conversion" versus the "GT3 Front Bumper Conversion". Take a look at this link from Suncoast Porshe: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...ory_Code=997AK
I am not sure if the differences are due to lightening in the photo, but yeah there are subtle differences.
I guess I will have to crawl underneath and check the part number. What number and where should I be looking for?
Thanks again for all the tips.

I looked hard for this. It's not listed as an option on 09 if one looks on the Porsche site. But that car is an 07 . In 07 Porsche did release an aerokit which is similar to the Gt3 minus the vent.
Most who have it add it after they get the car . I don't know anyone who ordered it on the car itself . It would be an add on part much like if one added Gt3 wheels . In fact some people with widebody Porsches tried to order the car with gt3RS wheels and they could not unless they bought the wheels separate .
Thus-- it IS most likely OEM but even if it came on the car on day one it was a separate added event.
The other thing on that car is chrome wheels . I have never seen this OEM but someone else has ?
One last thing .. when I see a bumper and rear different than stock on a used car lot it does raise a flag to check paint even more carefully . I have seen OTHER cars which were repaired and dressed up with cool looking parts to attract a sale .

About those wheels, I looked at the original dealer proforma invoice and it listed "19 inch turbo wheels". These aren't turbo wheels right? Maybe they swapped it with some other car on the lot?
I would definitely try to have them swap the wheels out if I end up negotiating on this car. Too flashy for me, and like Larry said, the weight doesn't help either.
Thanks again!

I know you love that car . I just have a gut feeling on it.
1) priced too high
2) CPO status is not clear
Important-3) has 18K miles and priced way too high for those miles and year . It's priced close enough to a new car and some guys are even buying 08 cars at or near the price with less miles.
4) you can always add parts and mods
Sincerely --If you get the car I hope it works out for you . I wouild be first to wish you the best and I do have this feeliing that you love it that much .
