+1 for using white lithium grease. It works like a charm and is a long lasting solution. It can be purchased in small amounts at AutoZone or in the can shown bellow at Ace hardware stores.

my 09 does it also.... I am concerned to lube it because that may only make the dirt stick to it better, waiting for the Porsche dealer tech answer, if there is one or the exact area of the noise. Or maybe it s nothing.... I can only hear it with the car off.

Last year I took my car to the dealer with the same complaint. They lubricated the parts, but the noise returned within a month. I think this is a pretty common problem, since dust and particles work their way into the mechanism at that location on the car.

+1 WD will just dry it out and make it worse. Use silicone spray.
