PDK Torque Limits

Hi guys, new to this forum and got a few questions.

1. What is the max torque rating for the new PDK transaxle before it blows?

2. What is the max torque rating for the "normal" manual transaxle before it blows?

3. What are the inhearent problems with the PDK? ( I know its new and there will be a few bugs to get worked out.)

Thanks in advance.

There has been a software upgrade

I believe the pdk was designed from the begining to eventually be put in the turbo and easily upgraded, so it should be good for 500+lb ft of trq in that application

While it is true that Porsche did have a PDK in their race cars back then, current transmission shares very little with that original version other than the fact that it has two clutches.

If what you said is true, a lot of future turbo owners are going to be disappointed when modifying their cars, as most light modifications already reach 750+ Nm.

Does anybody Cyro treat their Porsche gearboxes to harden the gears and make them last longer, or do guys take the whole thing apart, treat the gears and then put it all back together?
