Ken, you can always come by and take my car for a spin while you are in town. The Elantra is great, you now appreciate your car that much more!

Thank you for posting those pictures. It looks like it was a successful and fun gathering.

One thing I notice from all these gatherings (and I ask the question genuinely): why is everyone so badly dressed? Also, jeans are very popular (I don't own any jeans and so never wear them). Anyone would like to explain please?

It's southern California my friend. It's called Poorgeoisie. Here's a link and you'll understand.

Ahahah, you are right, by way of explanation, that works I suppose.

On the East Coast, it's just as bad. Those jeans...

1. CA (as mentioned by previous poster)
2. It's not like we're attending Church.........although some of us do practice this (Car Ogling) religiously.
3. It's too damn early in the morning ( some people are in the parking lot at 6am) to get dressed up for what is really a casual fun event.
4. It's Saturday! Dressed up Monday-Fri (for those that have to work)- that's the last thing I want to do on Sat. Morning............"F" the jeans.........my *** is in sweats or shorts (weather permitting).

Just my $0.02

I didn't mean wearing a suit but the running pseudo-sport shoes/ white socks/ jeans/ cargo short/ t-shirt combination for owners of $100K+ cars seems odd to me.

It's not based on the time/ day but on what one's wardrobe besides.

Where are the Puma racing shoes, the beige flat-front slim-fit pants and the Polo shirt with the two top buttons casually undone and rolled-up sleeves?
That's just an example.

Those events are fun of course.
I just found the apparence of most owners to be in-line with shopping mall Chili's patrons.

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the car **** guys! I finished looking through the thread and went out and cleaned my car.

Rep points to you for starting this thread.

Have been going to Cars & Coffee in MN this summer and really enjoy eat. A great way to get to see a wide variety of cool cars and where ours is located, even ogle some upscale man caves. If you lookup the Cars & Coffee thread for MN in the Midwest thread you'll see what I mean.

Again, thanks for taking the time to post all the pics!!

Nah, I would not go that far.

Great stuff. No traffic, sunny day, good company. That should be a monthly thing (is it?).

You also have a video of you running on that track. What mount set-up did you use for the camera for that recording?

Its weekly, every saturday!

He was holding his point and shoot... its more difficult than it sounds while driving.

I personally like to look like as much of a scum bag as possible at cars and coffee and dress appropriately. Then get the "what business does that dude have driving that thing" looks and stares..... JK, its too early to worry about what I have on.

Weekly? No wonder, after a while you can't be bothered .

About filming, I found the image very stable. It's amazing that was obtained by holding it up to the windshield.

Great bunch in any case. Perhaps I should start something similar here in NYC, though if I dig, I am sure someone already thought of it.

Thanks again for the thread, photos and chat.
