It's almost there. The Werks One Composites rear diffuser for the 997.1 vehicles. The part seen in the pictures is fresh off the mold and still has to be coated over, but figured we would get you guys some teaser shots of the diffuser while we were test fitting. These should be ready for sale very soon.

Enjoy.

Now this pic shows a functional product. The rear diffuser shown above seems more for looks - IMHO.

Looks great, but the car would require a body kit with it... Stands out too much on a stock car

Can you get more pics posted?

IMO I think the carbon base of the product should curve up and wrap tightly over that small section of bumper between the pipes so it looks like it belongs on the car . I don't like the ledge of seperation it creates between the two pieces. Send me the proto and I'll tell ya if I like the way it looks on my car before you make it.

If you look at all the rear diffusers used on ALMS cars, Euro Porsche race series cars or F1 cars you will see that the diffusers on the race cars sit much much lower and are a lot wider, plus they are flat with fins coming down...all tuned in the windtunnel. It's hard to tell in the pictures of the Werk dissufers if it is flat or curved. A rear diffuser on race cars is used to create downforce. If the diffuser is not designed correctly it will create lift...which you do not want obviously.

^actually, the original thread was for the 997.2...and just about every response was from 997.1 owner's cooing over it and pouting that it wasn't available for the 997.1. So they went to work, posted pics and everyone is bashing it now. Fickle crowd here.

Personally, I think it's a nice piece. Sure it may look aggressive, but have you seen all the front bumpers, sideskirts, rear bumpers, wings, rims, etc. that are every bit as flamboyant as this piece? Definately not out of place with other body mods.

Very true....for this piece to look correct you will need a full ground effects kit for sure. I still wonder if this diffsure really provide some downforce or is more just for looks.
