this is better than the techart kit released for the 997.1. at least it retains the factory appearance without the need to add-on another light. props to you. some might not like it, but i appreciate the effort and think the end result is stunning. i remember in my '99 boxster with amber taillights, we all rushed to get the '03's which dealt away with the amber look, same thing same thing.

Thinking about it now, I think if someone did a row of bigger leds following the perimeter of the red tail light kit it would look pretty neat.

There is not much out there, and I applaud you for doing this. Businesses are missing an opportunity for easy to install aftermarket led's.

At first, you look very closely at this and may notice things you don't like, but after a while you only notice the overall look of the led's.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm really happy with how they turned out and in person look much better than the pics. When you see the car driving they look just as good as the 997.2 as they are the same size and brightness.

Yes, unfortunately they may become one of those features that gets overdone and becomes tacky at some point. Same thing happened with wood trim. It started in high end cars, and eventually every car had faux wood trim everywhere and it was no longer indicative of quality or class. in fact I now find the wood look totally undesirable.
